Portside Renewables partnered with the Buzzards Bay Coalition in Marion, Massachusetts, to expand their existing solar energy system with the addition of 28 high-efficiency solar panels. Designed to complement the current installation, this solar expansion will help further offset the organization’s energy consumption while supporting its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

One of the unique aspects of this project was the installation on a red cedar roof, which required careful planning and specialized installation techniques to ensure the integrity and longevity of the roofing system. Our team worked diligently to provide a secure, aesthetically pleasing installation while maximizing solar production and preserving the character of the building. The completed system increases renewable energy generation on-site, helping the Buzzards Bay Coalition reduce utility costs and further its mission of protecting and preserving the region’s natural resources.
