We pride ourselves on being a local company with a background of 15+ years building and maintaining all types of solar energy projects. Company owner Michael Rotondo is a Master Electrician in multiple New England states and has been in the solar industry since 2007. He has been in an integral team player on projects as small as off-grid tiny homes all the way through utility scale solar farms that send electricity back directly through medium voltage utility lines. His vast experience in construction and operations of solar systems is unique and unmatched in comparison to most companies operating in our area. He is NABCEP certified and holds numerous industry certifications as well as all state licensing required to install solar energy systems.

I know what you are thinking, most people do not have a grid in their yard. Mike, the owner, was great about working with me when he knew I was worried about the aesthetics of putting panels on my roof. He wanted to make sure we felt most comfortable in our investment and that we were maximizing our solar exposure. The installation was extremely fast and the team cleaned up after themselves perfectly.
Speaking of the team, everyone who came to work on the project was respectful and attentive. We felt comfortable with every staff member we met and they approached the project with the same level of care as the owner himself.
Mike and his team have been great since the installation has been complete and have been assisting us with understanding what our panels are producing and how to maximize our investment. Even once when our panels were down, he noticed BEFORE we did and made sure everything was back up and running as soon as possible. On top of everything else, he is a super funny, down to earth guy.

We had an issue with our 12 year old solar panel array, and we didn’t have a solar company (the company that originally installed them went out of business). Mike was able to quickly resolve the problem and get it back up and running in no time. We are getting ready to move now, and we will definitely contact Portside Renewables when we are ready to add solar panels to the new house!
