Portside Renewables designed and installed a 17.16 kW residential solar energy system for this beautiful home in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, pairing high-efficiency solar panels with a FranklinWH battery storage system to maximize energy independence. Installed on a distinctive red cedar roof, the project required meticulous planning to preserve the home’s architectural character. Exterior conduit was carefully routed along the building’s natural lines to create a clean, unobtrusive appearance despite the home’s post-and-beam construction.

To provide reliable power in every season, the system also includes 30 kWh of battery storage and a 30 kW standby generator, allowing the batteries to recharge during extended power outages when winter weather limits solar production.
